Guidelines and Policy for WritersWe publish original articles, reviews and directory information devoted to independent travel in Mexico. If you can write well and entertain our readers while providing useful, thought-provoking information, then we would love to publish your article. We accept a variety of articles, from short practical pieces to longer more developed ones. In all, we like to see a unique, personal perspective on some aspect of Mexico. Articles should be between 700 and 1,500 words long. Please become familiar with the topics we cover. If you found this page directly from a search engine and missed our site, you can see the home page at http://www.ourmexico.com. Technical SpecificationsWe accept submissions via e-mail, in plain text or MS Word or Open Office format. We encourage graphics, but reserve the right to reformat and compress them in order to minimize download times. We can deal with most image formats but we prefer JPEG images between 600 and 1200 pixels wide saved at a quality setting of 90% or higher. PaymentCurrently we are not compensating authors. If you so choose, we will include a brief, 100 word or less, About the Author paragraph, along with a 150 pixel-wide photo. You can submit these at the time you submit the article, or submit them when notified of acceptance. In addition, if you have a web page, blog or other linkable site, we can include a link or links in your article, which will remain as long as the article is on our site. We can also include a featured link, which will run from 3-4 weeks. RightsBy submitting your article to Our Mexico, you agree that if it is published by Our Mexico, we have a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate and distribute the article, in whole or in part, worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media or technology now known or hereafter developed for the full term of any copyright that may exist in such material. If you would like to release your article under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, we will be happy to do that. See the section below.
